What happens to homeless individuals and families who don’t even have shelter? How do they get started on a new life? And what good is shelter at night if the homeless then drift through the day without direction? Any homeless person who wants to become self-sufficient may drop in at one of InnVision’s multi-service centers.

InnVision Multi-Service Centers offer a full range of services to help over 500 people a day get back on their feet.

“Entering I felt a sense of warmth and hope uplifting my battered soul. In this place, I knew I would find my way home”

Homeless and at-risk women and children are denied the most basic privileges that most of us take for granted. With no place to call “home”, they are forced onto cold city streets to fend for themselves. To them suffering, hunger, cold and fear are a part of life. The Georgia Travis Center offers these women and children a chance with hot meals, baby supplies, showers, laundry services, case management, computer training, job search counseling, drug and alcohol counseling, classes in English as a second language, medical care, legal aid, housing referrals, transportation, mail and voice mail services, self-help workshops, and child care with indoor and outdoor play areas.

One of the oldest centers at InnVision, Georgia Travis Center is being relocated to a larger facility that needs extensive renovation.

 Cecil White Center
Everyone knew Cecil White. She died on the steps of the county courthouse near the place where she called home, the streets of San Jose. Now InnVision has paid tribute to Ms. White by naming a large and inviting multi-service day center in her honor. Located on the first floor of the Montgomery Street Inn, the Cecil White Center provides homeless men, women, families and teenagers with a place to go during the day for a hot meal, a shower, clothing and a getaway from the streets. Here at the center they meet with a case manager, get a referral to an emergency shelter or other social service agency, take a class, or attend a self-help meeting. There is a medical exam room where physicians provide free primary care and specialty referrals once a week. There is also a computer lab classroom. For visitors not residing at one of InnVision’s shelters, there are individual lockers to store belongings.
