.This holiday
season InnVision was faced with unprecedented need from homeless and at-risk
families and individuals across the South Bay. The holiday season
is especially tough for people without food, clothing and/or shelter.
As families celebrate the holidays from the comfort of their own
homes, the homeless are only reminded of how lonely it is as they try
to recover from the adversity facing them. InnVision staff work
extremely hard this time of year to ensure that the men, women and children
in InnVision shelters, housing and drop in centers find their holidays
a little brighter. |
InnVision provides food and gifts through
various programs its Adopt-A-Family program provided 130 families with
approximately 400 children gifts for the holidays. The Santa's Cupboard
program, a unique gift shopping service for families provided 496 families
with approximately 1,200 children gifts this season. And the Gifts for
Shelter Residents program provided 185 adults gifts and gift cards for
the holidays. |
Our division in Palo Alto, Urban Ministry
of Palo Alto provided $35 Christmas Bureau Checks to 243 individuals.
Urban Ministry's Christmas meal program provided meals and gifts to 150
this holiday season and at its rotating shelter program each of the 15
clients received gifts this year. At Urban Ministry's Food Closet volunteers
provided 200 Albertson's Gift Certificates. |
