Senior Case Manager (full-time)
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for working closely with program clients and residents to
increase their capacity for independent living. Assesses services needed
by participants and develops a service plan. Determines client eligibility
for programs, provides information, and refers them as needed to other
community resources. Provides for emergency services and crisis intervention
when needed. Assists clients in gaining access to needed medical, social,
educational, and other services. May facilitate group sessions or workshops.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor degree
in Social Work or equivalent related experience, MSW preferred for
Senior Case Manager
- Minimum of two
(2) years experience in case management position, at least five (5)
years for Senior
- Computer proficiency,
including use of MS Office applications
- Fulfillment of
TB test and any other governmental requirements
- Sensitivity and
commitment to homeless, mentally ill, and low-income members of the
community
- Bilingual English
and Spanish preferred

Cook
(full-time and on-call)
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for efficient operation of all aspects of meal preparation
for clients in our agency's multiple shelters and day service centers.
Prepares meals in commercial kitchens for very large groups. Evaluates
available food to prepare a variety of lunches and dinners. Ensures
proper recordkeeping and processing in compliance with funding sources'
requirements. Stocks and inventories kitchen and dining room supplies.
Works and coordinates with any volunteers who may be preparing or serving
meals, as well as with donors who are bringing food. Maintains required
health and safety standards in work areas, alerting management to health
and safety issues and assisting with prompt resolution.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma
or equivalent; food-related training and minimum one year relevant
work experience preferred
- Good communication
skills - reading, writing, speaking
- Ability to lift
and carry food items up to 50 pounds
- Valid CA driver's
license to transport meals throughout agency facilities as needed
or to provide back-up driver support throughout agency
- Fulfillment of
TB test and any other governmental requirements
- Flexibility for
occasional back-up relief

Grants Manager

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Grants Manager is responsible for overseeing InnVision�s grants management processes, practices, and reporting needs for all non-government sources of revenue, currently in excess of $1M. This requires working collaboratively with program management throughout InnVision to position the agency with current and prospective funders while cultivating new and innovative partnerships related to specific strategic objectives. The Grants Manager supervises the agency�s donor database coordinator.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Research and identify corporate and foundation grant prospects, staying current on local, state, and national philanthropic markets relevant to our mission
- Cultivate, track, and review cycles of funding while managing all proposal, contract, and grant requirements
- Develop and write case statements for grant proposals and produce professional quality proposals which yield the level of financial support needed to fund agency�s programs and services as budgeted
- Interact with InnVision program management to identify needs and coordinate all foundation and corporate proposals, including tracking restricted funds
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with grantors to facilitate approvals of grants and monitoring of grant status
- Analyze budgets and reports to recommend and implement improvements to our development efforts
- Supervise the administrative functions of organizing and maintaining the DonorPerfect database, managing proposal files, preparing program data for quarterly and annual reports, tracking foundation information, and preparing gift acknowledgements
QUALIFICATIONS:
The Grants Manager must have excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills, sincerity in sense of purpose and mission, and the ability to work closely with senior management as an important team member. To be successful, the Grants Manager must apply superb organization, research, and analytical skills, along with the ability to communicate clearly and persuasively both verbally and in writing. Also required are:
- Bachelor�s Degree or equivalent experience, plus two to three years grant composition in a nonprofit development organization
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office, and familiarity with DonorPerfect or other fundraising database
- Track record of funded proposals submitted for foundation grants, corporate sponsorships, and major gifts
