For people who are
homeless, the holiday season can be an especially lonely time. The
emphasis on celebrations, family events, shopping and gift-giving can be
emotionally devastating for those who are unable to participate.
We are grateful for the many individuals and
organizations who come forward during this time of year to help
others.
THANK YOU!
Homelessness
does not discriminate. People of all religions, denominations,
genders, and ethnic groups may be homeless, and may be utilizing
InnVision's services during the Holiday Season. We
do not offer religious services on our premises, or compel attendance at
religious services. If your church, synagogue, or temple would like to
invite InnVision's clients to your service on a voluntary basis, we
are happy to communicate the information, and to work with you on
scheduling of events.
We
welcome Holiday Celebrations and parties that you may wish to put on at
our centers. We ask that you schedule the event ahead of time with our
staff (email: [email protected]),
and let us know which
elements you would like to include. Food? Entertainment? Gifts?
Sing-Along?
Please keep in mind that some individuals who are using InnVision's
services may choose not to participate for religious or personal
reasons.
Your family or organization might like to
get involved by providing a Holiday
Meal. Please contact InnVision's Food Service Coordinator,
Lourdes Pollard
(email:[email protected]) AS
SOON AS POSSIBLE to schedule your meal, plan a menu, and get guidelines
for providing meals.
Entertainment is also sought! Choirs,
singers, and musicians are needed to provide music during mealtimes at
several InnVision programs programs.
You may designate a monetary contribution
to a specific need or program, or to general operating funds. Your
contributions are what keeps InnVision going -- no donation is too small
to change lives. Click here for more information on
donating.
