The Georgia Travis Center, a program of InnVision, is a day center providing
support services to homeless and at-risk women and children.
The Georgia Travis Center Computer Lab teaches employable computer skills including
MSWord, Excel, Windows '95, resume writing, and typing skills enhancement.
Our lab has 10 PCs and 2 Macintosh computers.
Volunteers and interns are presently needed as instructors, open-lab monitors, computer technicians
or tutors for children. Volunteer and intern positions are non-paid.
Requested time commitment is very flexible. The Georgia Travis Center Lab is open weekdays from 8:40- 4:00, and the Commercial Street
Inn Lab is open evenings and weekends.
Desired skills include basic computer skills and a general sensitivity to the needs of the
clients. Resume writing skills and bilingual English /Spanish ability is helpful.
We will gladly coordinate with a school program so the credit may be received.
