About CMA
CMA is dedicated to ending homelessness. Its mission is to provide shelter and supportive services to people in need, to assist them in obtaining stable housing and self-sufficiency. Since opening in 1997, CMA has served thousands of people, with outstanding success in helping them move from homelessness to stability.
The Clara-Mateo Alliance Inc. facilities, on the campus of the VA Hospital in Menlo Park, include:
- A 63-bed shelter for homeless individuals and couples
- A 12-unit family wing including shelter and transitional housing for families with children
- 30 transitional housing units for individuals and couples
- The Elsa Segovia Center, a one-stop day service center for homeless or low-income women, children and families
