InnVision...the Way Home provides day services that include food, clothing, showers, laundry facilities, health care, telephone/mail access, computer access,  classes, job training, children's programs, and a variety of resources & tools to support individuals and families on their journey to self-sufficiency & independence.

Georgia Travis Center (GTC)

Weekday assistance for approximately 100 women and children daily. Assistance includes basic needs service, hot meals, education, support, case management, drop-in medical care, child care, and life skills workshops.

  • Emergency Rental & Utility Assistance provided to qualifying families and individuals, call for an appointment.
  • Family Place, a child development center for 0-5 year old children.  With after-school tutoring & summer camp programs for school-age children.
  • Donation Depot distributes free new & like-new clothing and housing supplies.
  • Produce Market, held once a month, distributes free fresh produce with pre-registration.  Call to register.

One-Stop Homelessness Prevention Center

The Georgia Travis MultiService Drop-In Center is the primary gateway to emergency assistance for homeless women and children in Silicon Valley.  The basic program provides a safe environment where homeless or at-risk women and children can receive food, clothing, toiletries, medical care, transportation assistance, showers, laundry access, phone/mail service, and more.  For women and mothers additional support services are available, such as education, case management, emergency assistance, and a child development program to address the needs of children in transition while women take advantage of a variety of educational and stabilization activities.

The free support services at GTC have four primary components:
  • Integrated case management to meet the needs of clients is critical to their success of transitioning into a lifestyle of self-sufficiency.
  • Adult education is offered featuring classes in ESL, money management, job development, computer skills, and self-help classes in domestic violence, child abuse prevention, stress management, & critical life skills.
  • A range of Health Services are offered. Gardner Family Services and Kaiser Permanente provide free on-site direct medical care.  Health education workshops are offered to educate women in maintaining their health and that of their families.
  • The Child Development Center (Family Place) provides nurturing pre-school activities such as pre-math & English, reading time, indoor/outdoor play, & finger painting.  These activities help children develop intellectually and offer a "happy place" to escape the trials of homelessness.  School-age children are also served through an after-school tutoring program and summer camp.

The One-Stop Center, located on the GTC site, provides hundreds of homeless men, women, and children with easy access to much needed medical services plus employment, benefit, and housing search & support services by four collaborative agencies:   Santa Clara County Social Services Agency - offers all levels of public assistance; Goodwill Industries - offers veterans and employment services; Work2Future provides employment services; and the city Housing Services Partnership provides a housing locator program and rental & deposit assistance.  Additionally, throughout the year, more than 100 other partner community agencies offer onsite workshops and information sessions on immigration, legal services, health services/insurance, domestic violence education, and more.  By working closely with our government partners “under one roof” we can ensure that many more people will access and maintain a permanent residence in South Bay communities.

The One-Stop Center makes an enormous difference for clients, helping them to see self-sufficiency and independence as accessible and attainable.  With one visit, after meeting with an intake counselor for a basic needs assessment, people can begin the process of securing financial benefits, receiving housing referrals, applying for rental and/or transportation assistance, and connecting to a case manager who continues to offer direction and support while arranging for training necessary to acquire and maintain employment which is necessary for permanent housing.  All other services available on-site through GTC's day services ensure that the majority of needs and barriers to success are addressed.

The Cecil White Center is a multiservice drop-in center, offering a variety of basic services to homeless or at-risk men & women including a hot meal, shower facilities, laundry services, clothing, mailing address, and phone access. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served weekdays. On weekends, an evening meal is served. Additionally, clients are provided with job and housing referrals, substance abuse counseling, access to a computer lab, medical services, and health education. CWC serves an average of 300 people a day and 11,000 meals a month.

This day service center is located on-site of InnVision's Montgomery Street Inn (MSI) which provides 85 beds for men, both short and long term, and job development programs.
