InnVision Food Service Volunteer Opportunities for Individual and Groups
InnVision Food Services could not operate without the unwavering dedication and energy of our volunteers. Opportunities are available seven days a week. Volunteers assist with food preparation, kitchen upkeep, at our program. Large groups can be accommodated, but it is necessary to schedule in advance.

Volunteering Guidelines
To work in the kitchen volunteers must wear:
- Long pants or knee shorts
- Closed-toed shoes
- Shirts with sleeves (short sleeves are okay, tank tops are not)
- A hat or other head covering (hairnets are provided)
- Midriff shirts are not allowed
Main Volunteer Opportunities
Kitchen Support
Kitchen tasks include chopping vegetables, sorting produce, mixing salads, assisting with meal preparation, cleaning and organizing walk-in freezer and refrigerators and sorting cans.
Monday through Friday, 11:00�2:00 p.m. 3:00-7:00 pm
Prepare meals alongside our cooks
Saturdays and Sundays, 11:00 � 2:00 p.m. 3:00-7:00 pm
(Please note some days meal providers are scheduled, so preparation and the serving of meals is not an opportunity available.)
Breakfast Help
Volunteers are needed to make and serve breakfast at three designated sites. This is an ideal opportunity for early raisers.
Monday through Friday from 5:00 am - 8:00 a.m.
Fridays Fresh Produce Help
Clean, processes and organize incoming fresh produce. Team will also help prepare or prep a vegetarian meal with fresh produce and serve.
Location: InnVision Julian St Inn.
Volunteers need from 2 pm -7 pm
(Please note some day meal providers are scheduled, so preparation and serving meals is only available if needed)
On-going Opportunities
Warehouse Teams
- Individual or small groups needed to help clean and organize our warehouse
- The volunteers should wear closed toed shoes, comfortable cloths, slack, jeans, and long Leg shorts
- They should bring work gloves and back braces, if they have them.
Sanitation
Join the Clean Team! Volunteers are needed to keep the inside and outside of our kitchens and walk-in refrigerators sparkling. Hours are flexible. This involves sweeping, mopping, cleaning ovens, hoods and stove and washing kitchens window and walls.
Team Leader/Inspector
This person will visit our kitchens, and help pick the next facility kitchen to be cleaned. Hours flexible.
Food Service Office Help
Do you have organizational skills? We need people who enjoy and are good at data entry, word processing, answering the phone, filing, and general office duties.
Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Pick a day or two. Hours flexible.
